Peter S. Shukat graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1969. He received his undergraduate degree from American University in 1966.

Mr. Shukat has a general entertainment practice, concentrating in the areas of music law, licensing and contract negotiation and the administration of music and related rights for the Estates of many of the world's best known musical performers. Mr. Shukat is a member of the New York Bar and is admitted to practice in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He has been a lecturer on the subject of music law at Syracuse University, The New School, Cardozo Law School and The Tulane University School of Law, and is an Adjunct Professor at Brooklyn Law School.




Allen H. Arrow 
received his law degree from New York University School of Law in 1953. He attended Brooklyn College and received an undergraduate degree in 1950.

Mr. Arrow maintains a general transactional and counseling practice with emphasis on all aspects of entertainment and contract law, including representation of purchasers and sellers of entertainment industry companies, representation of performing and recording artists, record and music publishing companies, and counseling with respect to copyright issues. Mr. Arrow has extensive experience dealing with multinational corporations throughout the world. A member of the New York and California Bars and the Copyright Society of the U.S.A., he has been a lecturer and is the author of various articles in the entertainment law field. Mr. Arrow is a member of the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of the City of New York, is an arbitrator in American Arbitration Association dispute resolutions, and is admitted to practice in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He serves on the Intellectual Property Section of the American Bar Association and is Chairman of the New York Board of Governors of the Caron Treatment Centers.




J. Jeffrey Hafer graduated from Fordham University School of Law (J.D. 1977) and received an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame (B.B.A. 1974).

A member of the New York Bar, Mr. Hafer has a general transactional practice emphasizing contractual and entertainment law, including music law and publishing, recording and performance agreements, licensing, merchandising, theatrical productions, and the sale and acquisition of intellectual and entertainment properties. He is also experienced in the negotiation of agreements for professional athletes.

Mr. Hafer is active in charitable and local committee affairs, and has served on The Cardinal's Committee of the Laity, local civic and community boards, and is a Trustee of the International Trust for Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Foundation.



Dorothy M. Weber received her law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1981. She graduated cum laude with a BA degree from Brooklyn College in 1977.

Ms. Weber is a member of the New York Bar and is admitted to practice in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. She has a litigation practice specializing in intellectual property, and has represented book publishers, visual artists, theatrical and film entities, recording artists and others in copyright, trademark, unfair competition, and contract cases. Ms. Weber's practice also includes extensive intellectual property licensing activities, including mergers and acquisitions involving the Internet. Ms. Weber has handled a number of seminal Second Circuit cases dealing with Copyright and Trademark issues, as well as participating in the landmark Supreme Court decision Eric Eldred et al. v. John D. Ashcroft, 01 U.S. 618, on the copyright term extension by filing an amici curaiae brief on behalf of Amsong, Inc., whose members include the Estate of Frank Loesser and the Estate of Hoagy Carmichael.

Ms. Weber is a member of the Bar Association of the City of New York and the First Amendment Lawyers Association, and has been a member of the Committee on Trademark and Unfair Competition and the Committee on Art Law of the Bar Association of the City of New York. Ms. Weber has lectured widely on copyright and trademark issues and is the author of various articles in the intellectual property field, including The Visual Artist's Manual, The New York Law Journal and Cardozo Entertainment Law Review.




Jonas E. Herbsman graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 1990. He received an undergraduate degree cum laude from Tufts University in 1987.

Mr. Herbsman, a member of the New York Bar, has a general transactional practice concentrating on entertainment and contractual law, including recording contracts, music publishing, book publishing, intellectual property licensing, merchandising and the sale and acquisition of entertainment companies. Prior to joining SAHWH, Mr. Herbsman was a corporate associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges from 1990 through 1994.

Jason A. Finestone graduated from the Boston University School of Law in 1999 concentrating in Intellectual Property. He received an undergraduate degree from Yale University in 1995.

Mr. Finestone is a member of the New York State Bar and is a general transactional attorney with a concentration in entertainment and contractual law. He worked in various capacities in the music industry prior to joining SAHWH, including serving as Director of Business & Legal Affairs for Instinct Records and The Knitting Factory.


Michael B. Frisch graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2003 with a concentration in Intellectual Property. He received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University in 2000.

Mr. Frisch, a member of the New York Bar, has a general transactional practice with a focus on contractual and entertainment law, including music recording and performance agreements, new media and intellectual property licensing, music publishing, merchandising, and touring agreements, and theatrical productions. Prior to joining SAHWH, Mr. Frisch worked in the business and legal affairs department of Sanctuary Group, a major independent record and artist management company subsequently purchased by Universal Music Group. Michael began his entertainment law career as an associate at Leibowitz Roberts & Ritholz, LLP.
